About us
Maa Durga Shiksha Seva Sansthan was established with a simple vision: to contribute to society through education, awareness and community welfare.
Our story
Maa Durga Shiksha Seva Sansthan was established on 24 June 2008 with a vision of contributing to society through education, awareness and community welfare. From the beginning, the organisation has approached social work as a long-term responsibility rather than a short-term project.
Over the years, this has meant staying close to the everyday realities of the community in Basti — running awareness initiatives on subjects that genuinely affect people's lives, and supporting education as a stable foundation for the next generation.
An educational institution, Pashupati Nath Inter College, located in Bakhariya Koni, Bankati, Basti, Uttar Pradesh, operates under the organisation — reflecting our conviction that awareness work and formal education strengthen each other.

Our journey
The organisation was founded on 24 June 2008 in Basti, Uttar Pradesh, with a focus on education and social welfare.
Pashupati Nath Inter College began operating under the organisation, extending its work into formal education for the local community.
The organisation has continued its awareness efforts around science education, water conservation, elderly welfare, de-addiction and women's empowerment, adapting to the needs of the community over time.
What guides us
We treat education as one of the most reliable ways to strengthen a community, which is why an educational institution operates directly under our organisation.
Our awareness work responds to real, observed needs in Basti rather than externally set agendas.
We have chosen to stay engaged in the same core areas since 2008, valuing steady presence over short-term visibility.
From students to senior citizens, from women in our villages to families affected by addiction, our work is grounded in respect for the people we engage with.
We are happy to share more about our journey and current activities.
